Rueben Taipari Porter the Mana candidate for the Northland by-election, recently a political rival has complained to a producer at Television New Zealand that Mr Taipari-Porter is allegedly under investigation from New Zealand Police and Heritage New Zealand about a particular action he took part in last year.

Te Waka Huia had filmed Mr Taipari-Porter practising kaitiakitanga in the beginning of December 2014 (well before any by-election was announced) that is meant to be aired on TV1 at 10.30am this Sunday 8th of March, 2015.

TVNZ have taken contacted their lawyers in regards to their legal position and have chosen to continue to run the program.

This is a blatant attempt using dirty politics strategies to undermine Mr Taipari-Porter’s campaign by jealous political rivals considering the program is entirely unrelated to the Northland by-election.

Those political opponents would prefer the underdog Mr Taipari-Porter was not seen and not heard during this by-election.
