We managed to dig up this from the archives an old political campaign from 1863 during the height of the land confiscations. We believe it was designed by Mr Cletus Ansell. On the left King Tāwhiao the Kiwi and on the right the British colonist George Grey who argued for the New Zealand settlements Act 1863. This Act lead to the confiscation of two million acres of private Maori real estate.
