The housing minister Nick Smith is freeing up land for property developers in Auckland to combat the housing crisis. The problem is they are offering the wrong land.

I don’t believe there is a market for housing situated on cemeteries even in a housing crisis and selling off State housing is only going to intensify the housing crisis

Offering Ngati Whatua land to property developers is a breach of the National governments treaty obligations a land grab of unethical property is not a solution.
