The Prime minister wants to change the New Zealand flag and also has plans on changing the New Zealand dollar. Last time Don Brash made the final decision to put National Party MP Apirana Ngata on the $50 bill and claimed this was representative of Maori.
In future currency the reserve bank governor could place MP Hekia Parata on the dollar bill as being representative of Maori. Future prints of the currency need to be debated and not decided upon by the likes of Don Brash who has a low tolerance of Maori aspirations.
