The Minister of defence Gerry Bronwlee is considering purchasing a fleet of Boeing C17 globe master III military transport aircraft for the Royal New Zealand Airforce. Government officials have advised  the New Zealand economy cannot afford to feed the kids in the  Education (Breakfast and Lunch Programmes in Schools) Amendment Bill. Although the government of India has implemented the highly successful midday meal scheme and is also purchasing the C-17 Globemaster III.
