The public commentary that has occurred this past week against Metiria Turei  has been a demonstration on how mainstream media re-direct the focus off the issue of POVERTY and into a attack on an individuals personal journey of survival for her n hers.

Surely, the focus should have  been on ‘has anything changed since then’, and ‘if not why not?’.Questions I’m sure that would have generated some robust dialogue that would influence who to vote for this election.
