The Lies fabricated in the\u00a0School Journal of July 1916 is about the only history of our nation retained by many ignorant New Zealanders. Many have no knowledge of the New Zealand Land Wars, New Zealand Settlement Act 1863 or land confiscations. The 1916 School Journal made a deceptive lie by Stephenson Percy Smith\u00a0<\/b>to justify British colonisation inferring that Moriori discovered New Zealand Aotearoa prior to Maori.\u00a0This in turn justified the near extermination of Maori in the minds of British colonists and their descendants.<\/p>\n

There is a possibility the New Zealand Company encouraged warlike Taranaki Maori\u00a0to use the\u00a0brig Lord Rodney\u00a0and travel to the\u00a0Chatham Islands as a strategy to ethnically cleanse the Island for future British colonisation.
